I am very thankful that Dave recommended I try the 3C soprano mouthpiece. After experimenting (and not having success with) larger tip opening mouthpieces, I've found that the 3C is a great fit for this amateur saxophonist. I had not played soprano in about 23 years, so the fact that this is such a warm, versatile, and free-blowing mouthpiece is much appreciated. My soprano setup is significantly stronger than my setup for alto or tenor: 3.25 Legere Signatures are a nice fit, and I am experimenting with Vandoren blue box 3.5s and Java Red 4s. My intonation is much better now, but most importantly, I am truly enjoying playing this little beast and am feeling more confident about my sound. I think that I would have been okay with a 1C or a 2C, but the 3C is still a great fit for me. I highly recommend trying any Morgan Mouthpiece, but especially the Classical if you're a soprano player (or a doubler). Thanks to all at Morgan Mouthpieces for such excellent products and great customer service!

The 1C classical soprano is s wonderful mouthpiece! I have been playing various Morgan mouthpieces for over 30 years and though Ralph is gone, the quality is still there, probably even better! I still have my old Bilger-Morgan 1C to compare.

Another homerun! I had high expectations for this piece, following my immense pleasure in playing a Morgan tenor mouthpiece. I was not disappointed one iota! Ease of play, resonance, and (for me) a slightly darker sound are standout impressions. Very, very satisfied!

Quick response, very sensitive to subtle dynamics, can play the softest pp to loud full sound. Rich full warm tone. Feels and responds like a quality handmade mouthpiece. I am so pleased that I am ordering mouthpieces to try for my other instruments!
