An original Morgan “legacy model,” the Morgan Jazz Tenor Medium Chamber was designed by Ralph Morgan and has been available since the mid-1980s. Its traditional wide-body design, medium round chamber and low rollover baffle produce a warm, full-bodied tenor sound with enough brightness and projection to work across a wide range of jazz settings.

Choosing a Size
The Morgan Jazz Tenor Medium Chamber is available in tip openings from .085" to .115", providing a range of choices for resistance, flexibility and reed setup.
Most Popular: 7M (.095") — Our best-selling size and an excellent starting point for players looking for a versatile balance of response, flexibility, projection and tonal depth.
The smaller openings provide greater resistance and control, while the larger openings offer progressively more flexibility and room to shape the sound.

Jazz Medium Chamber or Excalibur Medium Chamber?
Both models feature a medium round chamber and low rollover baffle, but their different body and interior designs give them distinctly different playing characteristics.
Jazz Tenor Medium Chamber — Uses Morgan's traditional wider hard-rubber body for a fuller, broader sound with a warm core and traditional jazz character.
Excalibur Tenor Medium Chamber — Uses Morgan's slender, streamlined Excalibur body with thinner interior walls. The result is a brighter, more immediate response with additional edge, brilliance and projection.
Choose the Jazz Medium Chamber if you want a fuller, broader traditional hard-rubber tenor sound. Choose the Excalibur Medium Chamber if you prefer a slimmer mouthpiece with quicker response, more edge and greater projection.

The Jazz Tenor Medium Chamber begins with Morgan's proprietary 100% pure hard rubber, molded and cured to our specifications. Rather than relying on CNC machining to create the finished interior, our craftsmen individually shape and finish the facing curve, tip and side rails, chamber and baffle by hand.
Each mouthpiece is individually finished and voiced for response, balance and consistency.

Morgan mouthpiece products are not available in retail stores. Because we deal directly with you, we can afford to keep our prices lower and customer service high. No one knows and understands our mouthpieces like we do.
We offer a 10-day trial that starts the day you receive your shipment. So, you can play the mouthpieces without distraction in your preferred setting.
Purchase up to 3 mouthpieces in different models or sizes for side-by-side trial. Keep what you love and if you are not satisfied, return for a refund the mouthpiece(s) in the original packaging in new clean unmarked condition.
- We ship free in the USA on orders over $200! International orders ship Fedex Economy for $45.
- Use a tooth patch on each mouthpiece to prevent bite marks/scratches. Kindly remove tooth patches prior to returning mouthpieces.
- For returns, use a ship service of your choice such as US Postal Service or UPS. (We do not provide return shipping labels)

Restock Fees
- If you purchase 1 mouthpiece and return it, there is a $20 restock fee if the item is valued under $499.00. Purchases valued over $500.00 are subject to a restock fee of $25.
- If you purchase up to 3 mouthpieces, keep at least 1 and return the others, there is a flat $25 restock fee for USA customers.
- If you purchase multiple and return all for refund, a restock fee of $20 may apply to each mouthpiece, depending on condition upon return. This applies to both USA and International orders. Kindly remove tooth patches prior to returning the
Exchanges
- If you purchase a mouthpiece but need to exchange it for a different model or size, please contact us by email with your order info to discuss options. There is an $8.00 charge to cover the return shipping cost on exchanges.

Care Instructions
Clean with 3:1 water/vinegar ratio and buff with soft cloth. Do not immerse mouthpieces containing cork. Use spray bottle with solution, avoiding cork area and dry and buff with soft cotton cloth.

We offer free standard USPS shipping on orders over $200. We use Fedex on International orders for a shipping fee of $45. We limit the number of mouthpieces per order to 3 (since they are handmade).

We know if can be difficult getting the right mouthpiece on the first try. We're happy to exchange models/sizes to suit your needs. For USA customers, an $8.00 return shipping charge applies when we exchange to a new item. For International customers, the return shipping charge for an exchange is $45.00. Other charges may apply based on price variances in the mouthpiece(s) being exchanged. A waiting period may apply depending on availability of exchanged model.

Excellent service and prompt delivery
The 5M is a replacement for another 5M which I don’t have anymore. It plays much better than my other one did. It has a very centered and present tone and plays remarkably consistent from low Bb up into the altissimo range. Flexibility has always been a problem for me on tenor and this mpc delivers what I need. It is a true joy to play.

I purchased a Jazz Tenor M with a number 8 facing. It is easy blowing and plays easily and in tune in all registers. It retains a warm core sound, plays beautiful subtones but can deliver edge and volume when you want it.
