Duplicated by Morgan from the actual alto saxophone mouthpiece used by Cannonball Adderley on Miles Davis’ iconic recording Kind of Blue, this is most likely the best alto mouthpiece you will ever play. Produced under the supervision of alto virtuoso and Downbeat Magazine Top 5 alto saxophone poll winner Jim Snidero (and long-time custodian of the original mouthpiece), every effort has been made to equal the incredible sound, response, projection and intonation of the original. While offered in multiple sizes, Cannonball Adderley played a size 5 with a medium/medium hard reed.
“I’ve been looking for a mouthpiece like this for about 25 years now, so I’m really thrilled to finally have something that satisfies me. Many thanks and best wishes” - Kurt B., New York

Mouthpiece History:
When Cannonball Adderley passed away in 1975, prominent LA alto saxophonist Bill Green acquired some of Cannonball's equipment, including his mouthpieces, from Cannonball's wife Olga James. Another prominent LA alto saxophonist named Dave Edwards was good friends with Bill, who graciously gave Dave Cannonball's mouthpieces. In the 1990's, Jim Snidero became friends with Dave after he moved from LA to Orlando. After Dave's sudden passing in 2000, his wife Phyllis Edwards gifted the mouthpiece Cannonball used on Kind of Blue to Jim, who has been custodian of the mouthpiece ever since. I play a 1930 Transitional Art Deco Conn Alto. Have been thru many many mouthpieces, from Original Meyer NY's to modern pieces.
Never before has a mouthpiece left me speechless!! From the first note I could feel the horn vibrate!! The tone is heavenly!! My wife came into my studio and said "Whatever that mouthpiece is, you need to keep it as your primary!"
Well, she is the boss!!
Thank you for ending the search for the ultimate mpc
Really great piece. Probably the best I’ve tried.
Much shorter than my “original†Meyer bros. But it don’t denne to affect intonation. Great job, MorganðŸ‘

Solid quality, fast shipping to Europe, very customer oriented. However the surface within the chamber looks a little rough and the mouthpiece tends to chirp, at least when I play it. Seems like I need to get used to it. But I like it a lot.
