The Marc Jean Generation II Ligature features a thick Grenadilla wood reed plate which reduces resistance and provides warmth to the tone. Brushed brass finish. Includes cap (The baritone model does not include a cap).
While these were designed and made specifically for Morgan Mouthpieces, they will fit many other standard-size hard rubber mouthpieces as well. These ligatures fit the following Morgan models:

- Classical and Jazz tenor
- All baritone models
Shipping is free in the United States if purchased with a mouthpiece. Sold separately, shipping is $7.50. For international orders, if purchased with a mouthpiece, ligature is included with the mouthpiece shipping charge of $42. Sold separately, shipping is $32.

I’m very happy with the Morgan Avant-Garde TLS-0. It has cleaner articulation than any other tenor mouthpiece I’ve ever played. But I was never fond of the Rovner ligatures that come with the mouthpiece, and my Vandoren Optima doesn’t fit. The Marc Jean Gen II complements the Morgan perfectly. The sound is clearer than the Rovner, it’s very easy to use, and it looks way cool. I’m very happy with the combination.
AS of today, I haven't received the ligature, so I can't post a review

The Marc Jean Gen II ligature is an awesome upgrade for the Morgan Jazz 7M that I play. I find that it allows the reed to vibrate and resonate nicely. The palm key notes often thin out on my Mark VI alto, but not with this ligature! It also looks gorgeous. Highly recommended!
Amazing work of art, this thing!
Excellent product. I bought this ligature with the Morgan "Vintage" soprano mouthpiece. I wrote a detailed review for the tenor model of this ligature I use on my Morgan Excalibur—read that as I find the same benefits for the soprano version. The most relevant part of that review as relates to the soprano version is:
The Marc Jean II [Generation II] has very high-quality workmanship and ergonomics, the screw is long enough to get a good grip on the [small] ligature, and the ligature feels solid and cinches symmetrically with even pressure. One of my annoyances with another metal inverted ligature [on soprano] is slipping, and getting the ligature centered while tightening. No problem with the Marc Jean, it doesn't rotate nor slip forward on the angled mouthpiece. Even the cap is well designed for the taller wood baseplate, and has cork-padded edges to protect the finish and provide some grip to keep it in place.
Also, Morgan's customer service is excellent, and everything has shipped quickly and economically and arrived fast.
